Key Features of Purlin Rollforming Machines

Automatic Profile Adjustment for C & Z Purlins: A CNC-controlled servo motor system enables seamless, tool-free transitions between C and Z profiles. Profile changes are fully automated, minimising downtime and eliminating manual rework—supporting profile sizes from 100–10 mm to 300–30 mm.

Industrial-Grade Rollforming System: The 22-station rollformer is powered by a 45 kW motor and features 100 mm solid shafts with D2 (1.2379) nitrided steel rolls. Designed for durability and precision, it supports G450, Z350, G500, and G550 material grades. Entry-point spray lubrication ensures clean forming and extends tool life.

Integrated Precision Punching: An integrated press group with four C-type hydraulic presses enables fast, accurate punching tailored to profile specs. Fully synchronised with the control system, it ensures precise slug ejection and minimal waste.

Efficient Coil Handling with Hydraulic Decoiler: The hydraulic decoiler supports up to 6-tonne coils, with a 550 mm max width and 1600 mm diameter. A 4-jaw mandrel and loop control system maintain optimal strip tension. An optional double decoiler enables continuous operation.

Servo-Driven Straightening and Feeding: Nine-roll straightening with hardened CK50-grade rolls ensures smooth, accurate feeding into the rollformer. Servo-driven alignment improves downstream precision and reduces the risk of deviation.

Precision Shearing and Dispatch: Length-based cutting is performed by a robust shearing unit, synchronised with the feeder for high accuracy. A 2 × 6 metre tilting outlet table comes standard, with an optional automatic stacker for profiles up to 12 metres.

Advanced Control and Safety Systems: A Siemens PLC with touchscreen interface powers the line, including VPN-enabled remote diagnostics, PNP sensor feedback, and CE-compliant safety features such as Sick-brand light curtains and accessible emergency stops.

 

Optional Upgrades for Growth: Scalable options include fully automated C-Z changeover, SEW Eurodrive motor/gearbox packages, coil car loading, and a 12-metre stacking system—enabling higher output and reduced manual handling as your production needs evolve.
